Our community riders live for morning rides, meeting at Rafters Monday to Friday at 0530 for coffee and a 0545 takeoff. A Metre Matters

Bike riders in New South Wales will be safer thanks to the NSW Government’s decision to implement a minimum distance when overtaking bicycles as part of a package of new road safety laws. The Amy Gillett Foundation welcomes the Government’s announcement today that it will commence a two year trial of the ‘metre matters’ rule that requires drivers to provide a minimum distance of one metre when overtaking a bike rider in speed zones up to 60km/h and 1.5 metres in speed zones above 60km/h. Lets keep our Guyra community and visitors safe


Cyclists training hard

This year is the fifth instalment of Tour de Rocks, an Armidale-based registered charity “Riding to inspire communities to help find a cure for cancer”. Training is under way for the enthusiastic Guyra team following our success in the 2016 Guyra Shire Australia Day Awards. Currently team numbers are 23 riders and 8 supporters; we will start from Armidale on April 14 and finish up in South West Rocks on April 16.
